Divinycell PVC foam is a high performance core material for multifunctional sandwich constructions. The H grade is used in a wide range of applications where there is a need for a strong, lightweight construction material with excellent mechanical characteristics. Divinycell is widely used and found in wind turbine blades, pleasure craft, ship hulls and truck bodies.
Divinycell H grade is a general purpose grade suitable for most sandwhich applicaitons. Divinycell HT grade is designed for use with prepreg systems and has very good residual strength at high service temperatures. Divinycell HPS grade is for use with epoxy prepreg systems, service life up to 90C. Divinycell HCP grade is a high density core for subsea use. Divinycell HD grade was developed for use in primary marine structures that are subject to high slamming and shock loads. Divinycell is available in * plain * perforated * stabilised * grid scored * grid scored mini * infusion scored * knife cut * double cut (knife cut both sides). In cases it is possible to have more than one type simultaneously. Divinycell cores are availalbe in thicknesses from 4mm to 50mm. Standard Plain sheet size is 1220mm x 2440mm (2.98m2) Standard Contoured sheet size is 1200mm x 810mm (0.99m2) Nb. Sheet sizes may vary depending on density Divinycell is approved by: Lloyd's Register London Det Norke Veritas, Oslo Germanishcher Lloyd, Hamburg Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, Tokyo Bureau Veritas, Paris Korean Register of Shipping, Seoul
Balsa is a natrual resource from plantations. Being a natural organic material, it varies in moisture content (12% +/- 4%) at time of fabrication, and the densities of the sheets can vary between 121kg/m3 and 184kg/m3. Balsa is also subject to warping in humid environments, therefore it is available in coated and uncoated shets, as well as grid scored/scrim backed. Plain sheets as well as pre-cut kits and Balsa-cored sheets using ply or other types of skins are also available.
Probalsa lightweight is a low density balsa core for weight critical applications. Probalsa standard provides an excellent combination of high strength and low weight. Probalsa heavy is a high density, high strength version of probalsa standard for highly loaded applications. Probalsa is resin-primed. Pre-priming speeds the build process and greatly reduces the absorption of resin. Pro Balsa can be suppplied plain or grid-scored in sheets 609mm x 1219mm (2ft x 4ft). Grid-scored sheets are cut in a grid pattern with an open weave fibreglass scrim affixed to give a flexible sheet. Probalsa comes in thicknesses from 4mm to 60mm. Pro Balsa core materials are approved by all major classification societies including American Bureau of Shipping, Lloyd's Register of Shipping, Det Norske Veritas and Germanishcher Lloyds.
Coremat XI incorporates a resin control system, enabling the processor to assess the impregnation with resin. Coremat XI is purple in colour, the addition of resin triggers a colour change to its natural white state. This makes it simple to determine when it is impregnated with resin. Optimum properties are achieved thanks to the colour change, allowing a better control of resin consumption. Insufficient impregnation will show purple spots. Resin can be added until the purple spots disappear.
Compatible with all polyester and vinyl ester resins. Coremat XM has a unique honeycomb structure for excellent drapeability, both Coremat products offer low resin consumption, fast wet-out, fast de-airing, & are easily handled creating increased efficiency. Lloyds appoval. American Bureau of Shipping approval. Det Norske Veritas approval. LANTOR SORIC Benifits Save weight 20-35%. Save resin and glass. Excellent resin flow. Constant thickness. TR grade is specially formulated and processed for compatability with high process and service temperature applications.
All grades are available in plain sheet or grid scored. Also available in kit form.
Urethane foams have excellent thermal insulation properties.
