Nupol Composites is able to offer a range of quality Chopped Strand Mats in both Emulsion and Powder bound grades in a variety of weights, lengths and widths.
Chopped Strand Mats are constructed from randomly dispersed cut lengths of E grade fibreglass bound together with either an Emulsion or Powder binder to give consistent strength independent of the direction in which the mat is laid.
Emulsion Mat is generally used in most general purpose applications where as powder bound mat is mainly used for corrosion applications. Both mats are compatible with Unsaturated Polyester (UP) Resin.
Our products are consistent in thickness, have superior wet through, rapid wet out and excellent conformity properties making them user friendly to the laminator. Made in accordance to International Quality System (ISO9001) they also have been awarded both DNV and Lloyds Certificate approval.
